After debugging at the municipal and provincial levels, three professors from the University of Informatics Sciences (known as UCI), deserved to present their research in Pedagogy 2017, which takes place in the Palace of Conventions of the Cuban capital until February 3rd.

Its presence in the event, which is attended by representatives of more than 40 countries and outstanding personalities, have served as an experience for their participation in exchanges and panels of debates, included in the colloquia. Among the keynote lectures that have been very interesting are those of the Cuban political scientist Josefina Vidal, the Brazilian theologian Frei Betto and the Minister of Education of Venezuela Elías Jagua.

The MSc. Odiel Estrada Molina, sole UCI researcher and associate professor of the Faculty of Sciences and Computational Technologies, presented together with Mary Lisán and Jimmy Zambrano, the research work that constituted his Master thesis "Models of virtualization of the investigative skills function in the UCI. "

This young professor has six years of experience teaching.

In her case ,  MSc. Irina Collazo Ávila presented, together with Ph.D. Rosa Alicia Vázquez and the MSc. Adisley Reyes, the research that constituted her Master thesis "Didactic strategies to contribute to develop the management of knowledge from Mathematics I in first-year students of the UCI." Her presentation was in Symposium 13, called Challenges and perspectives of the training of professionals in an innovative university.

Collazo Avila, who next September will be ten years teaching , explained that one of the challenges of the University is to train specialists able to learn throughout their lives.

"In our career the change is constant and we need students to have the skills to turn information into knowledge. The importance of the strategy is to achieve the application of contemporary technological use, "she added.

Meanwhile, Addiel Aguila Espinaco, professor of the Introductory Faculty of Informatics Sciences (known as FICI), presented the lecture "Creative recycling course from the university extension of the UCI", during the Environmental Education Symposium for sustainable development.

He commented that this is a proposal where art is used as an alternative transformation for the transit of traditional recycling to an interesting and useful one . He conceived it since he was trained to act from the Student Residence.

This project has been updated methodologically and works to turn it into a school course and a training program, in order to promote an environmental culture, because in addition to skills and techniques, it has a conceptual basis on environmental issues and their conservation.

After three years in teaching, Aguila Espinaco plans to carry out this research with his doctorate in educational technology.
