University Day to fight smoking starts at UCI

As part of the actions carried out at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) aimed at reducing smoking, a specialized lecture on the risks of this harmful addiction was held on Monday.

At the meeting which was held in the Video Room of the Cultural Center Wifredo Lam, the specialist of the Department of University Welfare, Maray Pascual Gé, exchanged on this topic with instructors of the center and proposed strategies to decrease smoking in our University.

The initiative, denominated Sin Humo soy + seeks to sensitize our university community about the negative consequences of smoking which affect both active and passive smokers.

Activities for health promotion, declaration of smoke-free spaces, competitions of literature and fine arts stand out among the actions which will be carried out until next May 31 in our house of higher studies, on the occasion of the University action days against Smoking.
