In order to raise website positioning based on better content definition and structure through the use of HTML 5, a training course started at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) for a representation of webmasters from the different news media of the country.

The opening day was attended by Aixa Hevia, the first Vice President of the Cuban Journalists Association (UPEC), who thanked all the attendees for their attendance, despite the rain in the capital during these days. She encouraged them to make the most of this course in order to instruct the rest of their colleagues with what is being learned here.

The HTML 5 and web positioning course is planned to be delivered in five days, and these professionals are faced with the challenge of incorporating the knowledge acquired, so that at the end they can make a diagnosis of the current status of the websites they manage in order to improve them.

At the conference held in the postgraduate classrooms of School Building 1 on Monday, June 19, an analysis was made of statistics on the Cuban websites, the internal and external characteristics to achieve positioning or Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the evolution of HTML since 1989 --the year in which the World Wide Web appeared to these days, with HTML 5 and a set of good practices to make responsive or adaptable designs to any mobile device and also to improve the positioning of a site in the network of networks.

Undoubtedly this represents an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and thus achieve a better positioning of our websites in order to continue disseminating the reality of our free and sovereign Cuba.
