When there are only four days left for the University Chess Tournament Remberto Fernández, there is still a lot to be said for the crown of the competition, which until next March 24th will be based at the University of Informatics Sciences.

After completing the most recent date, Norwegian FIDE Master Arvola Benjamin leads the standings of the elite group with 4.5 points, followed by the Cuban International Master (MI) Henry Soto, with 4 points and just one point of advantage from the local Isidro Berdayes,  with 3.5 points.

For today the most interesting matches will be in charge of MI Alexey Fernandez and MF Isidro Berdayes; MI Henry Soto and MI Abel López; And MF Arvola Benjamin and Juan Manuel Jaquez.

The competition has an average ELO coefficient of two thousand 345, higher than the previous editions, which demonstrates the quality of a contest that pretends to be inserted among the main competitions that make up the chess calendar in our country.
