The University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) will be offering positions in the new academic year, for the Workers’ Course “Curso por Encuentro” (CPE) to people interested in studying the career of Engineering in Informatics Sciences in the blended learning modality.

Those interested should go personally to the office of UCI General Secretariat to make the request, from Monday February 18th to Friday March 1st, 2019. (Except on Saturday and Sunday) from 8:30 to 12:30 am.

If the demand is higher than the number of positions offered, selection criteria will be established for the candidates. In this case, a written competition exercise will be applied in April to assess whether the applicant has basic skills close to the professional profile of the career and other topics of general culture. The results obtained by the candidates in the exercise will be ranked in a descending order in a scale.

All those who are accepted and have presented the requested documents may register for the career at the end of August or the first week of September.

At the time of filling out the application form (February) you must submit the following documents

• Original of the completed high school diploma
• Photocopy of this title (legalized by the Office of Titles and Diplomas of the Directorate of Education of the province where the high school was completed).
• Original and photocopy of the high school grades certification.
• Updated Identity card in good conditions, with residence address in the provinces of Havana, Artemisa or Mayabeque.
• If you have been discharged from a university career, you must submit the model of discharge of the previous institution and a grades certification of the subjects passed.
• If accepted, the interested party will be given a letter in the month of May asking the other higher education center (CES) for the academic record and the thematic plan of the subjects passed.
• The interested party will be in charge of making the necessary arrangements in the other CES and will present these documents at UCI in June in order to analyze whether the re-entry approval is due.
• If the applicant is an inserted cadet; he will only be accepted if he appears in the list of authorization for continuity of studies approved by the DIUL at the request of FAR or MININT.
