Concluded Production Meeting at the University of Informatics Sciences

Since December 6 began the production meeting of the University of Informatics  Sciences (known as  UCI), which finished  this thursday, December 8th , at  the Theater of Teaching building  3 of this institution.

The final meeting was attended by  MSc. Reinaldo Rosado Roselló, Vice- Rector for  Production in this house of high studies, and the managers and specialists of the different Software Development Centers with the objective of analyzing every aspect that involves the productive results of this year and to achieve the necessary transformations, with the redesign of some processes, for the next one.

In his speech, Rosado emphasized the achievements to date and stressed the importance of being able to see the problems from the contracting process of any project. He added that we are working to have new CMMI Level III evaluation areas ready, where we are all responsible for improving  every detail to successfully address this new evaluation of the production process.

Likewise, the head of the Technical Group of the General Directorate of Production, Reynaldo Álvarez Luna, summarized what had been analyzed in each working group during the previous days in order to contribute effectively to the achievement of greater productive results.

Among the aspects examined are the positioning of leading software products in marketing, carry out more publicity and provide impact solutions for branches programs of government agencies and ministries, the study of current trends in the world of software for the work in the cloud, strategic products that each Center has to continue  promoting its marketing, reuse of components, updating software versions and products developed, among many others that will allow better results.

There was a lot of interaction with the attendees at the event, which allowed us to contribute new ideas and projections for a better marketing  of our products and services where research, development and innovation are present in every step that takes place.

To conclude, the Vice-Rector for Production of the UCI appreciated the great  productive year and urged all participants to continue working to achieve greater efficiency and productivity in 2017.
