Cybersecurity has become a national security problem for many countries in the world and a significantly important issue for organizations. The sustained growth in the number of vulnerabilities so far discovered, the impact of their exploitation and presence on devices connected to the Internet, creates a real complex scenario that must be tackled and solved through holistic solutions, covering technical, economic, regulatory and social problems.
The Semantic Web Research Group aims to produce basic and applied research related to semantic web technologies, incorporating added value to their studies and contributing to the socio-economic progress of the country.
The High-Performance Computing Group's mission is to develop high-performance scientific and applied research, the results of which can be integrated into the development and research processes of our University, using alliances and close collaborations with different centers and research groups.
The group of Digital Signal Processing and Geoinformation aims to create a space oriented to theoretical and applied research, which guarantee the insertion of added value in the systems developed mainly by the GEySED development center, in addition to promoting the integration of lines and reinforce the scientific work and the visibility of the center.
The Project Management Research Group aims to develop basic and applied research for the development of products and services that help to make decisions in the Planning, Control and Monitoring of Projects in our country, guaranteeing a high social and economic impact in various spheres of society.
This research group focuses its studies in the didactics of the disciplines that tax the formation of the Engineer in Computer Sciences. It also covers the design, execution, control and evaluation of the teaching process - learning in different modalities of study and technological conditions, university teacher training, as well as the university - community relationship.
The objective of this research group is to reach the theoretical and practical development in their human resources, necessary for the application of their research in the development of scientific products with added value according to the social object of our University.
The group aims to research and develop applications in the areas of Visualization and Virtual Reality. The results achieved add value to the products developed in the Departments of Visualization and Virtual Reality.
The main objective of the group is to produce basic and applied research to support educational processes. Power the development of technological environments of quality, in accordance with the technical and cultural conditions of institutions and individuals.
Integrated by a team whose results of research are oriented to solve technological problems of computer character existing in the engineering and the national industry.
This group promotes research in a critical and analytical environment, aimed at the analysis of processes and the development of software components that allow the generation of new knowledge to support decision making, giving added value to the computer systems developed at the University.
