After several days of deep popular consternation, the university community carried out acts of homage to the Commander in Chief carried out in each of the schools and centers of our institution from very early hours of this Monday.
Concentrated in Wifredo Lam Square, students, professors and workers, kept a minute of silence, and with slogans of Long live Fidel! Began the signature of the solemn oath that reaffirms our will to fulfill the concept of Revolution, expressed by the historic leader on May 1st, 2000.
The event was led by Ph.D.  Miriam Nicado García, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba, Council of State and Chancellor of the University of Informatics Sciences; Ph.D.  Raydel Montesino, Deputy Rector  ; The president of the university students federation (FEU) in the institution Arlenis González, as well as other members of the University Council.
In the Library of our center four tables with two books were arranged, surrounded by the colors of our flag and images that reflect different historical moments of the Revolution.

Students of the Introductory Faculty of Informatics  Sciences (FICI), were the first to sign the solemn oath, as a sign of continuity to Fidelist ideas and our socialism, aware of its decisive role in the defense of the country.
The feelings of the physical loss of a father were visible in the faces of those who carried pictures of our Commander while making clear their position: Young people will not fail !.
Throughout this day, the rest of the schools, centers and areas of our University will continue to be paraded, where each one will have the opportunity to render a well-deserved tribute to Fidel and show the commitment to continue his work.

Likewise, the University of Informatics Sciences will be present at the José Martí Memorial to honor the highest leader of the Revolution, as well as at the other activities scheduled to commemorate the death of the Commander-in-Chief.
