Windows open to Science
With a great demand of national and foreign professionals, the International Summer School started this Monday morning at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI).
For the eleventh time, the meeting will be a meeting point in this higher education centre to contribute to the training and development of professionals related to the field of Information Technology.
The opening ceremony, held in the Camilo Cienfuegos Hall of Events, was presided over by Dr. C. Raydel Montesino Perurena, Deputy rector of this institution, Dr. C. Roxana Cañizares González, Director of Postgraduate Education; Dr. C. Omar Correa Madrigal, Director of Science, Technology and Innovation; and Dr. C. Vivian Estrada Sentí, Head of the Department of Scientific Degree, who gave the details of the program of this meeting.
Estrada Sentí meant that twice a year our university organizes these concentrates with the aim of contributing to the improvement of professionals from different branches.
In his turn, the First Vice-Rector of the institution welcomed the 591 participants who enrolled in the 24 courses that the event contemplates, which is part of the UCI postgraduate system.
The academic meeting that will take place until 6 July is aimed at postgraduate training and the development and integration of training centres and organisations, through the interaction of actors linked to university education, scientific development and society.
