Once again Francisca López Civeira became a national history pedagogue while participating as a guest speaker in the XIII Workshop for the Innovation of Political-Ideological Work carried out at the University of Informatics Sciences(UCI)

During the presentation of the book Fidel in the university student tradition, its authors Francisca López Civeira and Fabio E. Fernández Batista, dialogued with the audience gathered in the Conference Room in School Building 4.

The 2008 National History Award winner focused on the receptivity they always found in contributors. She gave credit to all those transcribers, reviewers and teachers who provided the files of the Student Sports Movement.

The compilation, where a FEU archive was missing, includes facsimiles, photos, documentation, many of them unpublished; it also incorporates Reflections by Fidel, as Fernández Batista said.

During the morning session, on the other hand, presentations were made of experiences from the political-ideological work carried out through teaching, production and university extension activities in this center.

The papers presented dealt with education in values in higher education centers, the importance of the knowledge on history and Marxism-Leninism for the political-ideological, humanist and citizenship education of Cuban youth, among other topics.

Attendees promoted the idea of turning Fidel's concept of Revolution into sense of the historical moment, from the implementation of a system of non-formal activities, filled with the effervescence of young people.

The XIII Political-Ideological Workshop, for a revolutionary university, pays tribute to the relevance validity of the thought of Marx, Martí and Fidel.
