The University of Informatics  Sciences (known as UCI) celebrates on this day the International Safe Internet Day with a program of activities that included the conference "Recent patterns of computer attacks on websites and web applications on the internet."

In the meeting that had as stage the  José Martí building where it is loacted the theater , the MSc. Henry Gonzalez, Methodologist of the Informatics Security Directorate, meant that recognition, threat model, vulnerability assessment, exploitation and post-exploitation are among the phases of cyberattack.

For the lecturer, the concept is validated that informatics  security is a process, not a product. He also pointed out that the UCI has an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) that blocks IP addresses from a set of rules that aims to identify incorrect behaviors.

In this sense, he emphasized that since a large number of these attacking addresses are not identified, a technical -organizational architecture of continuous monitoring and feedback of the IDS is created, which includes developments in the direction of informatics security.

On the other hand noted that there is an international recognition of these results which is generating in our University a valuable knowledge of cybersecurity that begins to be required by institutions in the country.

During the intervention that aroused the interest of the audience, the lecturer responded to the concerns of the participants and called them to promote the defense of the Revolution in cyberspace and to participate in the Workshop that takes place this afternoon, with the preselection of the group Hacking Ethics of the UCI.

The International Safe Internet Day is celebrated every year in February with the aim of promoting the responsible and safe use of new technologies especially among children and young people.
