Our house of high studies remembered, in the morning of this Monday, the feat of March 13th, 1957 in a political-cultural act presided by the PH.D. Miriam Nicado García, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party, of the Council of State and rector of the University.
The commemoration that took place in the Plaza Mella was favorable to recognize with the Friends of the FEU award to Lester González López, Katiuska Cedeño Espeinoza, Yusdel Meriño Almaguer, Yaiselis Ramírez Mastrapa, Haniel Caceres Navarro, Leonardo Rodríguez González, Secretary General of the UJC -UCI, and Ph.D. Natalia Martínez Sánchez, Vice- Rector for training , as well as a group of outstanding students with the condition Young 94 Anniversary.
On the occasion, teachers and workers, Lester González López, Madelín Haro Pérez, Dieter Fuentes Cancell and the MSc were also recognized. Rigoberto García Mauri, Vice- rector for the attention to the City, with the Alma Mater prize; And the March 13th distinction was given to the leaders of the FEU organization, Bienvenido Roque Ofer, Dorisley Morales Suárez, Eliani Cabrera García, Juan León Herrera, Luis Manchón Lauzardo and Ortelio Hernández Socarrás.
Speaking at the event, Eliani Cabrera, FEU vice -president at the University, said that each young man should find out what his/her March 13th is and should feel proud to be heir to Fidel, Mella and José Antonio.
The student leader stressed that this anniversary marks the beginning of the day Patria destined to meeting the glorious past and that will be extended until next March 25th, the date of the birth of Julio Antonio Mella.
For the university students, it was a meeting of reaffirmation with the Revolution as those young men did in that heroic gesture that was inscribed in the glorious pages of our history.
Young university students and a representation of our house of high studies remembered the feat of March 13 th .
The commemoration was favorable to recognize with the Friends of FEU prize the work of a group of teachers and workers of the center.
On the occasion, a group of outstanding students with the Young 94th Anniversary status was recognized.
